By Andrew Lersten -- A Cracker Barrel restaurant, a motel and apartments, townhouses and senior condominiums are being proposed for a 42 acre site on 73rd Street, south of Phoenix Road, in South Haven Township.
Developer Jim Farley is asking for township approval of a planned unit development (PUD) for the project, Township Supervisor Ross Stein said last week.
The township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the planned unit development request, which includes a rezoning from its current medium-density residential classification to the PUD mixed use zoning at its Sept 5th meeting. The planning commission will then make a recommendation to the Township Board on the matter, Stein said.
